Jagaran – It’s time!!!
“Na main Rishwat leta hoon, Na main Rishwat deta hoon”
“- Jan hith mein jaari -”
Jis din apna aam aadmi yeh kehne ko sayyam hoga, us din bharat se asal mein brashtachaar khatam hoga.
India Against Corruption – as it’s been roaring around for days. Anna’s been heading this “Kranti” for long, and finally we see a ray of hope. It was good to hear and see the Democratic India back again, rising and shining, like the good old Gandhian days, in the Gandhian ways. So, it flutters in the “Indian News”, Anna has won. I asked my self this “epic” question, have WE really won it?
Yes, to an extent yes. But, it’s not that easy my ferns. I know, you all did be thinking, “oh yes, the bill is yet to be passed“. Well, surprisingly, am not taking about the Bill. Considering the bill gets passed, we still haven’t WON the fight. It’s been days since i have been discussing and debating on Lokpal. It’s gOod, but it’s not the bEst. Why?, ask yourself. What’s missing out of Lokpal, is nothing but WE (oohhhh, don’t take me wrong, am not against Lokpal, just read on).
So, here is the pumpkin head. Lokpal is good as long as the “Lok in the Pal” are good. And the Lok’s in the Pal, are no one else, but the cOrrupted WE. Yea, see you all started scolding me with your a** out. But, that’s the TRUTH, face it, or face it off, that’s the dire and sultry TRUTH – Ripley’s Believe IT or NOT.
This thing of self-improvement brought in a shiver – Can “We the People of India” really CHANGE. As we change the Govt year by year, we change the system just this year, can we change US, and bring about this change in the coming generations – preach them and teach them “About Corruption and Against Corruption“. The answer is simple, as it sounds, YES – but doing is juxt opposite. But, we HAVE to do this, and we really HAVE to do this, and we WILL surely do this.
Simply spoken, STOP Bribes. It seems easy, but ask your self, can it really be stopped. Well, the Lokpal can, but is Lokpal controlling the “private organizations”, is it controlling the “encroachment” of space by the so called “Dukaandaars”, is it controlling the “education system” development activities (you know what i mean), is it controlling the “Sipharish”. Ohhh, don’t be surprised, they all are CORRUPTION. It’s a general term, for anything that happens against the normal “Rule of Book”. Btw, how many of us will really stop bribing the Police when caught – Hardly any, coz that’s the easy way out. So, who is paying the bribe, WE right. It always takes “Two to Tango”.
Kher, these things will take time to settle, but most important of all of them is, how to improve ourselves. In a way it is easy, we need to abide by the current system, but also teach our current and future generations the “Value of Money, in opposed to Importance of Money“. Yes, they sound similar terms, but there is a slight difference between “Importance and Value”. When things are important, you really take care of it, and try to achieve every bit of it – You kinda make it your life. When things are valuable to you, you understand how to use it, when to use it, and why to use it. Don’t make Money “important” for the coming generations, just help them understand the “value” of money. Let them Value it, not make it Important.
Second, preach them the importance of their existence, the earth’s existence, and the country’s existence – it should always be held first, and then comes the state, religion and they (as in I). To my advice, teach them religion, but also teach them to TREAT all religions equally. Let’s not get in to the doldrums of our Neta’s political approaches – Marathi, Gujrati, Bengali, Punjabi, Telugu, Tamil, ikka dukka tikka. We are culturally strong, and let’s make it our strength, not our weakness. India is our country, and we as citizens should not be fighting over who lives where and who speaks what.
Third, and most important, do NOT discourage the current generation from entering Politics. We don’t believe in Politics, coz our parents never believed in it, and so, who enters politics are already the one’s being convicted or corrupted. It’s important the “children of today” understand politics, and the importance of politics, and take it up as a career – Tabhi yeh bharat safal hoga. To make India up and rising, we need to have the best of minds. Be it IITian or MBAian, it needs to be like an IAS for them. We need learned and honest people there, else, sooner or later, believe it or not, Lokpal will be running under the hands of corrupt – Aur fir is desh ka kuch nahi ho payega.
Fourth, and one of the root cause of small scale bribery. Get the guys in Khakhi and low profile jobs, a good salary (frankly, i don’t know how to do it, but this needs to be done). With the increasing cost of living (where it gets difficult for us to survive), do you expect them to survive with their current salary? So, their taking bribe is fully justified (i beckon it). It’s just that, bad things percolate faster, and so it just gets bigger and uglier. To avoid it at the roots, we need to give pesticide water at the roots
.
Jai Hind!!!
FactFile:
Umm, am a-political (just for a mention). I hardly talk of politics and walk of politics (even if you see my blogs, hardly a one or two on the political system of indian standards). But, i feel, i can shed some of my points to make it happen now – It’s now or never – so, let’s take this opportunity. I welcome points and suggestions from everyone, coz we need to let India know, it is time for EV1 to CHANGE to bring about this CHANGE.
Salah Archana:
I was thinking, if we can spread a word – Print t-shirts with the lines “Na main rishwat leta hewn, na main rishwat deter hewn” at the front, and “Jan hith mien jaari” at the back. Wear your self and ask every one of to spread and wear. It’ll be great, if one day the whole of India can say and wear this – at times, “Actions speak louder than Words”. This might make the “Taker” a bit shameful
. It’s just an Idea, coz I am planning to get one printed soon.
